Amla achar/pickle step by step

  1. Rinse the amal well. Dry it completely. Remove the seeds and cut into pieces..
  2. Heat the fenugreek seeds in a pan on low medium flame. Roast for one minute..
  3. Then add fennel seeds and roast for a minute..
  4. Remove it in a plate. In same pan add mustard seeds and roast for half minute..
  5. Switch off the gas. Remove it from the pan. Keep it aside..

  8. Heat the oil in a pan on low medium flame. When the oil is hot add amla pieces and sauté for a minute until they turn soft..
  9. Now switch off the gas. Add asafoetida, mustard powder, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, fenugreek and fennel seed powder..
  10. Mix all ingredients together well. Amla pickle is ready. Let it cool down completely..
