Ragi Murukku Sieve the ragi flour, rice flour, and besan flour once. Do not skip sieving, otherwise, continuous swirls cannot be made and the murukku breaks. Ingredients of Ragi Murukku

  1. You need of Ragi Flour.
  2. It's of Oat Flour.
  3. Prepare of Urad dal Flour.
  4. Prepare of Salt as per taste.
  5. You need of Ajwain+Jeera powder.
  6. You need of Chilli powder.
  7. Prepare of hing.
  8. It's of butter.
  9. You need of hot water.
  10. Prepare of Oil for deep frying.

Steps to cook ragi murukku: Now switch on the stove and place a kadai and add oil for deep frying. In a murukku maker (murukku pudi) apply some oil in three whole disc and put it to the inner vessel and pour dough in to the murukku maker. Now take a plate and grease as under part of the plate. In a mixing bowl, take ragi flour,rice flour and besan flour along with red chilli powder,sesame seeds,butter and required salt.

  1. Mix all the flours thoroughly.
  2. Add Salt, ajwain+jeera powder, chilli powder to the flour along with hing..
  3. Add butter and mix the flour so that no lumps are formed.
  4. Now, knead the dough with hot water. Rest the dough for 5mins.
  5. Grease Murukku maker, fill it with the dough and make Murukkus by deep frying them in oil. (for a more healthy recipe, we can even bake them).
  6. Murukkus are ready... munch onnnn.....
