Matar Poha step by step

  1. First of all, wash poha and keep aside in a drainer for ten minutes..
  2. Put a pan on low flame and add 2 tsp ghee or oil. Add some black mustard seeds (Rai) when it's hot..
  3. When it sounds like crackle add onion and saute till brown. Add tomatoes and boiled peace..
  4. Put salt, turmeric, red chilli (if u want lil spicy) and mix all. Add sugar if u want lil sweet taste. Mix all the ingredients well..
  5. Now add poha and mix. Cook for one minute stirring well. Add lemon juice and peanuts. Mix it well. It's ready to eat. Garnish with coriander leaves..

The addition of coriander-mint paste makes this poha even more interesting and decadent. Take the poha in a strainer or colander. Wash in running water until soft. Drain the water and set aside. The poha should be soft but not mushy.
