Shahi Navratna Kofta Curry step by step

  1. To make the Kofta,firstly soak the Chana Dal for 5-6 hours.Now boil it on steam.
  2. When it cools down,add 2 bread slices,salt per taste and then in a Mixy grind to a paste..
  3. Now coarsely make a paste of ginger,chillies,mint leaves,curry leaves and freshly grated coconut.Now take the paneer and add 1 tbsp of the paste.Also add the chopped Kismis and Cashew and salt per taste.Mix it well..
  4. Make Kofta balls,alter size.Now into the Chana Dal paste add the remaining paste,salt and lemon juice and finally red chilli powder.Mix it well.Alter per taste..
  5. Now make a tiny Roti,place the paneer mixture ball and cover it and fry on medium hot oil till crispy..
  6. For the gravy heat 2 tbsp oil,add all the whole spices above.Now add the onions alongside the ginger garlic paste.Now add Turmeric Powder and Salt,red chilli powder,Garam Masala Powder and then add Chopped tomatoes.Now cook it for around 5 minutes..
  7. Once cooked and it cools down grind in Mixy till smooth Paste.Strain it..
  8. Now soak the poppy seeds and Cashew Nuts for 30 minutes and then grind it in a Mixy..
  9. Now heat the remaining oil.Add the strained tomato puree after adding to it the red chilli powder.Now cook for 2-5 minutes.Mix it nicely and add Cashew Nuts and poppy seeds paste.Add Kasuri Methi and the fresh cream and also add Salt per taste..
  10. Now pour this gravy over the Kofta and garnish with fresh cream,fried cashew nuts and some coriander..
