How to Cook Perfect Hakka noodles

Hakka noodles. In this recipe we show you how to make the most perfect hakka noodles in just three easy steps. This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel & has featured on Sanjeev Kapoor Kitchen. Hakka noodles are Indian-Chinese style noodles made with unleavened refined wheat flour.

Hakka noodles There are a lot of brands selling hakka noodles. These hakka noodles are popularly known as chow mein in India, the roadside version that is. The chow mein is spicy, full of veggies and very delicious. You can have Hakka noodles using 11 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Hakka noodles

  1. It's of Ching’s noodles.
  2. You need of carrot cut into long strips.
  3. You need of capsicum cut into strips.
  4. It's of cabbage roughly chopped.
  5. It's of big onion sliced.
  6. Prepare of ginger grated.
  7. Prepare of green chilli finely chopped.
  8. It's of Salt.
  9. Prepare of black pepper crushed.
  10. You need of soy sauce.
  11. Prepare of oil.

Now that I am an adult (and can also cook!), I don't need to wait for special occasions to eat hakka noodles. Whenever the cravings strike, I simply make them at home. Heat enough water in a pan with salt and a few drops of oil, till it comes to a boil. Add the hakka noodles and cook according to the package instructions.

Hakka noodles step by step

  1. Boil 4 cup water in vessel- put Ching’s noodles in boiling water and cook it till Al dente (when you bite it feels slightly uncooked).
  2. When it cooled immediately transfer it into cold water to prevent further cooking(main step to avoid sticky noodle)leave it for 2-3 minutes- then strain it..
  3. After straining coat noodles with oil to prevent sticking..
  4. Prepare all veggies and heat 1 tbsp oil..
  5. When oil is hot- add ginger and garlic and sauté it on high flame for few seconds..
  6. Add onion slices and cook it till transperant on high flame..
  7. Add carrot and cook it for 2 minutes.then add cabbage and capsicum- cook all the veggies on high flame to maintain crunchiness of veggies..
  8. Add salt,noodles, green chilli,soy sauce and mix it gently..
  9. Add black pepper mix it and cook for few seconds then done -switch off the gas.(if you like sweet taste then you can add tomato ketchup up).

When noodles are cooking, rinse and chop all the veggies or you can chop them before you start cooking noodles. Drain and rinse noodles in running water, so that the noodles stop cooking. Hakka Noodles are made from plain boiled noodles, stir fried with sauces and vegetables. Its very easy and fast cooking recipe and it is specially very famous among the kids. Veg hakka noodles are flavourful noodles tossed with vegetables.
