Ingredients of Vagharelo Bhaat/Gujarati Masala Bhaat
- You need of Basmati rice (1 cup).
- You need of Clarified butter (ghee) (3 tbsp).
- Prepare Cloves of (laung) (2).
- Prepare of Cinnamon (dalchini) (1).
- You need of Cumin seeds (jeera) (½ tsp).
- You need of Potato, cubed (½ cup).
- It's of Asafoetida (hing) (a pinch).
- Prepare of Green peas (hari matar) (½ cup).
- It's of Haldi/Turmeric Powder (1 tsp).
- Prepare of Lal Mirch/Red Chilli Powder (1 tsp).
- Prepare of Garam Masala (½ tsp).

- Wash the rice and then soak it in sufficient water for at least 30 mins. Keep sautéing on a m.
- In a kadhai, heat ghee and then, add in the laung, dalchini and jeera.
- Drain and keep aside. You could also use cooked, leftover rice.. As the jeera begins to crackle, add in the hing, cubed potatoes, green peas, and salt. Keep sautéing for 3 to 4 mins..

- Keep sautéing on a medium flame for another 5 mins and then pour in some water. Mix well. Cover with a lid and let the mix simmer till the rice has cooked through. Stir intermittently..
