  1. It's of peeled, washed & cut ARBI/ taro root.
  2. Prepare of sliced onions.
  3. It's of garlic cloves.
  4. Prepare of salt.
  5. Prepare of turmeric powder/ haldi.
  6. Prepare of red chilli powder/ lal mirch.
  7. You need of coriander powder/ dhaniya.
  8. Prepare of garam masala.
  9. It's of Kasoori methi(optional).
  10. Prepare of water.
  11. Prepare of Coriander leaves for garnishing.
  12. You need of oil.
  13. It's of Hing /asafoetida.

Commonly known as taro root or colocasia root. Arbi does not have a strong flavour of its own and is versatile much like potatoes. Taro root or arbi borrows flavour from the spices / masala that is added to it while cooking. Add garam masala and mix well.

  1. Take a pan, add 2-3 tbsp oil..
  2. Add hing/ asafoetida, after few seconds add chopped garlic..
  3. Stir it and once raw aroma of garlic disappear add sliced onion.fry onions till translucent..
  4. Now, add spices (salt,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder) quantity is mentioned in ingredients. Please refer that..
