Recipe: Perfect Pav bhaji

Pav bhaji. Bhaji is the marathi word for vegetables or a vegetable based dish (dry or gravy). Since both the bhaji (vegetable gravy) and pav are served together, hence the name ' Pav bhaji ' Pav bhaji is basically a mix of mashed & spiced vegetables in a gravy. A special spice blend ' Pav Bhaji Masala ' is used to make pav bhaji.

Pav bhaji Heat the oil in a wok over medium heat. Ingredients of Pav bhaji

  1. Prepare of Aloo /potatoes.
  2. It's of Tomatoes.
  3. You need of Hari mirch/ red chilli powder.
  4. Prepare of medium sized Pyaaz/ onion.
  5. You need of Matar / pulses.

  1. Boil potatoes, slice tomatoes and onions..

  3. Now add mashed potatoes to it in the pan and stir it. Add adequate amount of water and leave it to cook for 5 mins on a low flame, add half butter to it as well for the flavour. After 5 min the bhaji is all ready, put some coriander leaves for appearance and serve it with the paws and sliced nimbu as per taste..
