  1. You need of For the stuffing.
  2. Prepare 300 gms of khoya.
  3. Prepare 2 tbsp of suji.
  4. Prepare 3 tbsp of gratted coconut.
  5. You need as needed of Chopped dry fruits--almond, pita, kaju, kismis.
  6. Prepare as needed of Powder sugar.
  7. You need as needed of Ghee.
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp of green cardamom and black pepper powder.

With a lot of variation it is also made in Maharashtra and south Indian States. It is quite similar to the humble Gujiya but richer in taste and looks. Unlike the Gujiya, it is round in shape and hence the name Chandrakala. Chandrakala is a dessert from Bihar, similar to gujia.

Chandrakala - A sweet instructions

  1. For for the stuffing. In pan put ghee then add the suji, fry it till little brown. Then add the dry fruits and coconut. Fry it and keep it aside. Now in the same pan put the mawa. Let it soften. Now in a bowl add the mawa, the suji and coconut. Let it cool. Then add the powder sugar, elachi powder and black pepper powder. Mix them all..
  2. Now take the madia add ghee to it atleast 3 tbsp then mix it fully. Now add cold water and make the dough. It should not be very soft. When the dough is done. Grease some ghee on it. And cover it with a wet cloth so that it doesn't become dry..
  3. Now make small dough. Roll it into round shape like puri. Put the stuffing. Put water on the side. Put another on top of it. Now fold the sides with soft hand so that the filling dose not comes out..
  4. Now in a pan put ghee and fry them. Then transfer it to the sugar syrup..
